NSM Implements Undergraduate Student CouncilBy: Shannah LeDee
NSM has a new Undergraduate Student Council (USC) to promote opportunities for student participation in the management of undergraduate student affairs.
The council will act as a liaison between the NSM student body and NSM senior administrators and will officially meet monthly with those administrators. USC also will provide input about college activities and events related to undergraduate student affairs.
Undergraduates interested in joining the council must hold an official student leader position with one of the college’s affiliated student organizations or the University of Houston Student Government Association. They also must be working toward an undergraduate degree in one of the college’s six academic departments or a degree in interdisciplinary science and be in good academic standing.
